Jan.27 (CRICKETNMORE) - England all-rounder Ben Stokes was picked by Rajasthan Royals on Saturday for a whopping Rs 12.5 crore. Major franchises like KKR, CSK and Kings XI went bidding for him but Rajasthan took him.

Rising Pune Supergiant took everyone by surprise when they roped him in for a whopping Rs 14.5 crore last year.

He became the highest-paid overseas player and also went on to win the season's most valuable player award.
