17th August (CRICKETNMORE) - Sri Lanka won the third Test against Australia by 163 runs at Sinhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo. This is the first time that Sri Lanka whitewash Australia 3-0 in Tests. This defeat was their ninth-straight Test defeat for Australia on the sub-continent.

Set 324 on Wednesday in 83 overs, Australia swere all out for 160. Warner top-scored for Australia with 68 from 94 balls, but Shaun Marsh (23), Mitchell Starc (19) and Lyon (12) were the only others to get into double figures.

Veteran left-arm finger spinner Rangana Herath was again the tormentor in the 163-run win, claiming 7-64, with match figures of 13-145.
