Anderson was rampant as the tourists were bowled out for 177 by early afternoon on day three at Lord's. He picked up seven wickets in the second innings, including yesterday's historic 500th scalp, as the tourists could only set England a target of 107.

England then took 28 overs to make light of a soft target in fine batting conditions, albeit in a low-scoring match, and claim the series 2-1 just before a slightly-delayed tea.

Anderson, who became the first Englishman, third seamer and sixth bowler to claim 500 Test wickets has moved on to 506 scalps.
