Johannesburg, Oct 24: Lauren Agenbag of South Africa has created history by becoming the first female umpire to officiate in a men's first-class game in the country.
Agenbag, 23, officiated in the match between Central Gauteng Lions and Boland in the CSA Provincial three-day competition in Johannesburg from Thursday to Saturday last week, reports ICC.
Heaping praise on her, CSA's Acting Director of Cricket Corrie van Zyl said on Tuesday: "Lauren has become a standard-bearer for women's umpiring in South Africa."
