Abbas said he will be free after his tenure as ICC president ends. He became the ICC president in June last year and his term will end on this year.

He also lauded the decision to appoint batting legend Inzamam-ul-Haq as the chief selector.

PCB chairman Shahryar Khan is facing a lot of criticism after Pakistan’s bad showing in the Asia Cup and World T20. The team wasn’t able to qualify for the second round in either of the two T20 tournaments.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is also the patron-in-chief of PCB, has been asked to change the PCB chairman.

Former head coach Waqar Younis has also criticised the PCB head in his report and stated that Shahryar Khan and Najam Sethi, the top two in PCB, are destroying Pakistan cricket.
