Pune, April 23।  Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli was fined Rs.12 lakh on Saturday for his team's slow over rate against Rising Pune Supergiants in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore etched a 13-run win over Rising Pune Supergiants here on Friday buoyed by Kohli's half century.

"Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been fined after the team maintained a slow over rate during last evening's VIVO IPL match against Rising Pune Supergiants in Pune," an IPL statement said.

"Since it was his first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh."

RCB posted 185 for five riding on half centuries by Kohli (80 off 63 balls) and AB de Villiers (83 off 46) and then checked Pune to 172 for eight.
