22nd September (CRICKETNMORE) - Pakistan left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir tied the knot in Lahore. Several prominent personalities from the field of Pakistan cricket attended the wedding ceremony on Tuesday.

Amir and his better half Narjis, a British-Pakistani reportedly met at a family event six years ago in London. The duo had a brief nikkah ceremony two years ago in 2014 while still severing his five-year ban from cricket for spot-fixing.

"This is a love marriage and both the families happily consented to their union," the cricketer told the media ahead of his mehendi ceremony on Tuesday morning. Amir added, "Narjis has stood by my side during the most difficult moments of my life."
