“And so my IPL tournament unfortunately comes to an end. Broken finger and out for 6 weeks. Thanx India and @RPSupergiants it's been fun,” du Plessis posted on Twitter.

The 31-year-old is his franchise’s second highest run-getter with 206 runs in six games. He has also scored two 50s in the competition but both came in a losing cause.

This is the second injury jolt that Pune have faced. A few days back, England batsman Kevin Pietersen was ruled out with a hamstring injury.
