# Half Centuries from C Pujara (62) and M Vijay (65) helped India to post 318 in their first Innings. For Kiwis, T Boult and M Santner took 3 wickets each

# In reply, New Zealand were bundled out for 262 against some quality spin attack led by R Jadeja (5/73) & R Ashwin (4/93). New Zealand captain Kane Williamson remained the top scorer for the team with 75.

# India took the lead of 56 runs.

# ​Indian batting shinned in second innings and posted post 377/5 (dec.). M Vijay, C Pujara, R Sharma and R Jadeja scored fifties.

# New Zealand were given the target of 434 to win the test.

# New Zealand batting once again failed and were bowled out for 236/10. Ashiwn took 6/132 in the second innings and ended the test with 10 wickets.
