The 33-year old first smacked an unbeaten 175 runs with the bat and then proceeded to dismiss Lankan captain Karunaratne on Jaddu's second delivery of the match.
However, there was an interesting angle attached to this wicket. On the first ball of the 25th over, which was also the first over by Ravindra Jadeja in the match, Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne tried to slog sweep the in-form Indian all-rounder. However, Karunaratne missed the ball and the delivery sneaked under him to hit him on his thighs.
