Mumbai, 12 April, 2017:As India consolidated its position as theNo. 1 Test team, Star Sports continued to deliver recordviewership numbers throughout the home season of cricket.The #TestofTheBest campaign for the India-Australia Test series delivered on its promise becoming the highest rated Test series in the history of BARC.The 4-match Test series delivered a total of 1.1 Bn Gross impressions with the third Test match alone recording 383 Mn. Notably, the viewership increased ona series-to-series basis, as India continued its dominance in Test cricket recording 10 wins in 13 tests.
In the shorter ODI and T20 formats, Star Sports communicated the proposition of exciting and unmissable action.Year 2017 for cricket started with a bang on Star Sports as the India-England ODI series became the highest rated bilateral ODI series in the last 5 years. Further, the viewership for both the ODI as well as the T20 format continued to grow at a per match level.
