Powell Powers West Indies To A Thumping 3 Wicket Win Against South Africa In Rain Affected 1st T20I
SA vs WI, 1st T20I: In the rain-affected 1st T20I, visitors West Indies cruised to a 3-wicket win against South Africa after the match was reduced to 11 overs per side. Captain Rovman Powell was the star for his team as he took West Indies to a victory in the opening T20I of the 3-match series.
Chasing a target of 132 runs off 11 overs, Windies lost opener Kyle Mayers (6) in the very first over. However, Brandon King and Johnson Charles played explosive cameos. King smacked 23 runs off just 8 balls while Charles scored 28 runs off 14 balls while batting at #3. Nicholas Pooran managed just 16 runs off 7 balls as West Indies were reduced to 66/3.
