BCCI appraisals: KVP Rao tears into Saba Karim, rejects promotion

New Delhi, Aug 28. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after completing the process of appraisals had decided that assistant General Manager Cricket Operations K.V.P. Rao would be promoted to the position of Deputy General Manager, Cricket Operations. But Rao has torn into current GM Cricket Operations Saba Karim and refused to accept the promotion.

In the letter accessed by IANS, Rao has told CEO Rahul Johri that while he is delighted that his hardwork has been recognised finally, he would wish to continue in his current position as the board didn't deem it fit to promote him to the rank of GM Cricket Operations when there was a vacancy after M.V. Sridhar resigned from his post.
