# Virat Kohli becomes the fastest player to reach 7000 runs.He reached the milestone in 161 innings (169th match), the fastest in the world. The record was in  South Africa AB de Villiers' name after he had scored 7,000 ODI runs in 166 innings.

# Virat Kohli reached another milestone, becomes the fastest batsman to score 24 ODI centuries (161 Innings). He surpassed record of batting Legend Sachin Tendulkar who did this in 219 innings.

# Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni becomes the third cricketer to complete 300 International matches as a captain of any national side. This match is the 189th appearance for Dhoni as India’s captain, and overall it was the 273rd appearance for India in ODI cricket. Dhoni already holds the record of having led a country in most Twenty20 Internationals (51 T20I). In Test cricket he captained India in 60 matches. Third ODI against Australia at Melbourne on Sunday was the 300th occasion when Dhoni captained India in international cricket. The other two cricketers to have achieved the feat before MS Dhoni are Stephen Fleming from New Zealand and Australia’s Ricky Ponting.
