Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, 31, tied the knot with Jeddah-based model, Safa Baig, 21, on February 4, 2016, at Haram Shareef in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Safa Baig was born in Jeddah and raised in Arab by her Hyderabadi parents.
According to sources, he met his wife, Safa in Dubai where the couple decided to get married. The wedding ceremony was a low-key affair and was attended by close friends and family members. The ceremony was followed by a lavish dinner party hosted by the Pathan family in Trident Hotel in Jeddah. The couple will most probably throw a wedding reception in March.
Post marriage Irfan Pathan thanked his fans for marriage wishes. "Entering probably the most beautiful phase of my life. We both wish to thank everyone for your wishes & blessings", Irfan tweeted.
