Mahela Jayawardene Appointed As 'Consultant Coach' For Sri Lanka Cricket Team
Sri Lanka cricket board, via a press release on December 13 (Monday) announced that the former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene is appointed as the 'Consultant Coach' for the Sri Lanka national team in all three formats, starting from January 1st, 2022.
Jayawardena, in his new role, which is effective for a period of one year, will be in charge of the overall cricketing element of the national teams and will provide invaluable strategic support for the players and management teams at the High-Performance Center.
