The cricketing fraternity is yet to level with the concept of 'Mankading' concerning the spirit of the game. With controversies ranging from Ashwin's Mankad incident in 2012 against Sri Lanka, cricketers and experts have formed different opinions about 'mankading'. In the ongoing U19 World Cup 2022, we got to witness this controversial dismissal again.
Uganda U19 team faced off against Papua New Guinea in the 13th place playoff semi-final 1, and Uganda emerged victorious by 35 runs. However, in the 16th over of the PNG's innings, we saw Joesph Baguma dismissing PNG batter John Kariko at the non-strikers' end without bowling.
