England avoided a massive scare ahead of the second Ashes Test at Adelaide when Joe Root was hit by a Ben Stokes' bouncer in the nets session.

On Tuesday, the England captain was in an intense batting session after the team's loss in the first test and was facing Stokes. The all-rounder bowled a bouncer which hit the top of Root's helmet.

However, looking at Root's reaction, it didn't affect him much and he continued to bat and was the last man to get out of the nets.
Earlier, Stokes clarified that his knee is fine and he will be fit for the pink ball test that starts from 16th December.
