IPL 2023: Mini Auction

With IPL 2026 on the horizon, all IPL franchise owners are gearing up for the much-anticipated mini-auction set to take place in December 2025. A total of 405 players have registered for the auction to fill 87 remaining slots across all 10 IPL franchises.

According to a BCCI media release, the breakdown of registered players is as follows:

• 273 Indian players
• 132 overseas players
• 4 players from associate nations
• 119 capped players
• 282 uncapped players

The auction rules allow a maximum of 87 players to be picked, with a limit of 30 overseas slots available for selection. Franchise teams will be strategizing their bids to strengthen their squads ahead of the IPL 2026 season, ensuring a competitive and thrilling tournament.
