Australian crowd is one of the harshest bunch of people that one could imagine. Whenever a series is played down under, one such incident does get reported where someone from the crowd hurls abuses at a player.

On Friday, England's Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes were at the receiving end from the bad-mouthed crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground(SCG).

After the duo had added 99 runs for the fifth wicket and was returning back to the pavilion, a fan from the stand right next to England's sitting area began to welcome Bairstow and Stokes with some harsh words.

“Stokes, you’re fat. Take your jumper off, Bairstow, lose some weight Bairstow,” a fan said.

Stokes did not react to the abuse directed at him but stopped at the top of the stairs after the remarks made to his teammate. A fuming Bairstow then returned fire at his abuser.

“Pal, that’s right. Just turn around and walk away. Weak as piss," Bairstow replied to the abuser.

Three men were ejected from the stadium with no charges laid.

“It’d have been nicer if we were there giving it when we walked off at the end, wouldn’t it? Unfortunately, they weren’t there at the end, they missed the end of a fantastic day of Test cricket,” Bairstow said at the end of the day after slamming England's first century in the Ashes 2021-22.
