Kolkata, June 4 (IANS) BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya's grandson Aditya was on Thursday presented before a Juvenile Justice Board and his driver sent to judicial custody for assaulting a policeman, police said.

The incident happened Wednesday night at the Eastern Metropolitan bypass when Aditya and his driver allegedly assaulted a traffic policeman who pulled them up for parking the car in a no parking zone.

"Since Aditya is a minor, we forwarded him (on Thursday) to the Juvenile Justice Board, which has sought a report on the incident," Deputy Commissioner of Police Santosh Pandey said. Aditya is a Class 10 student.

The driver, Zakir Hussain, has been remanded to judicial custody till June 17. "They assaulted a policeman after he tried taking action against them for parking the car in a no-parking zone," Pandey said.

The incident comes days after Kolkata Mayor Sovon Chatterjee's niece Debapriya Chatterjee and her friends were booked for allegedly manhandling a policeman who stopped their car after it jumped a signal and hit a pedestrian
