Kolkata, July 18 - Former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar on Saturday said the board has done nothing to improve its image and now has no choice but to implement the Lodha Committee's findings.

"The BCCI has done nothing to improve its image and now the board has no option but to implement the findings of the Lodha Committee," Manohar told a news channel.

Manohar also lashed out at International Cricket Council's (ICC) chairman N. Srinivasan saying the former BCCI president should have stepped down when the Indian Premier league (IPL) spot-fixing scandal broke in 2013.

He also urged him to step down from his position as the ICC chairman.

"Srinivasan should have stepped down in 2013, no individual is ahead of institution and he too is the root of all scandal and should immediately step down from his position as chairman of ICC," Manohar said.

He slammed the BCCI again saying it has to be proactive as its work is now done by the courts.

"There has been no action from BCCI to clean the mess and the board's work is done by the court. BCCI has to be proactive and look at the interest of the institution and not that of an individual in order to re-impose faith in the minds of the people," he said.

Manohar was in the city to meet BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya and met him at the latter's residence at around 10.30 p.m. on Friday night to discuss the various issues that have dogged the BCCI since 2013.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals were on Tuesday suspended from the IPL for two years by the Supreme Court-appointed Justice Lodha Committee for a 2013 IPL spot fixing and betting scandal.
