In the ongoing BBL match between Hobart Hurricanes & Sydney Sixers, Hurricanes skipper Moises Henriques smashed 73 runs and helped his team to post 144/9 in 20 overs after almost all the other batters failed.
Hobart Hurricanes were struggling towards a decent score after losing the first 4 wickets inside the powerplay. But Henriques held one end and dealt with the bowlers wisely. He also stitched a partnership of 62 runs off 47 balls with Tom Curran (27 runs off 21 balls) and helped the team to a defendable total.
For Sydney Sixers, 27-year-old fast-medium pacer Thomas Rogers was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. Nathan Ellis picked up 2 important wickets as well - opener Josh Phillipe & top scorer Moises Henriques. Joel Paris, Tim David and Sandeep Lamichhane picked up 1 wicket each. Sixers now require 145 runs in 20 overs to win the match.
Earlier, Hobart Hurricanes captain Matthew Wade won the toss & opted to field first against Sydney Sixers in the 4th match of the Big Bash League. This match is being played at Aurora Stadium, Launceston.
