Delhi Capitals Announce Player Retentions For IPL 2022; Shreyas Iyer Goes To Auction
Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals have announced the 4 players they'd be retaining for IPL 2022. DC has decided to retain their captain Rishabh Pant, promising opener Prithvi Shaw, All-rounder Axar Patel & South African pacer Anrich Nortje.
It is noteworthy that Shreyas Iyer, who captained DC to IPL Finals in 2020 was not retained. As per reports, Iyer wanted to captain the club and since DC have announced Pant as permanent captain, he is heading towards the auction & would like to be signed by a side where he gets to be the skipper.
