Will Young scored 47 runs in the first innings and was looking strong with 56 runs to his name in the second innings. However, the English skipper displayed brilliant back-of-the-hand skills to dismiss Will Young after a terrible mix-up with Daryl Mitchell. 

    New Zealand were at 131/3, recovering well from the early hiccups and extending their lead to 145 runs with a day and a session left in the game. Daryl Mitchell, who scored a magnificent 190 in the first innings, etched a partnership of 16 runs with opener Will Young.
