Smith Likely To Miss Opening Match Against New Zealand In T20 World Cup 2022
In and out of the squad in recent times, former Australia captain Steve Smith is set to miss his country's opening match in the Men's T20 World Cup 2022 against New Zealand scheduled for Saturday.
Smith was a member of the squad that won the T20 World Cup last year but has struggled for form since then, losing out his spot to the likes of Cameron Green. He has struggled for runs in the three-match series in India and at home against England.
