Asmita Hockey State League: Pune and Satara qualified for the semifinals in the Junior Category, recording all wins (9 points) in their respective groups in the Asmita Hockey State League at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Nehrunagar-Pimpri, on Wednesday. The other qualifiers for the semifinals include Kolhapur (4 points) and Mumbai City (6 points).

On Day 6, Pune impressed in Group B with a 15-0 win over Ahmednagar. The scorers were by a four-goal effort by Tanushree Kadu (2’, 22’, 43’, 49’), three goals by Sanika Mane (4’, 7’, 52’) and Sanjana Khetawat (6’, 13’, 14’), while Siddhi Gawali (30’), Sayama Tamboli (39’) a dual strike by Sneha Bendre (45’, 51’) and a goal by Sukanya Daware (59’) rounded off the tally.

Mumbai City later won 9-0 against Jalgaon. Mumbai’s second win helped them qualify with six points (2 wins, 1 loss). For Mumbai, three Roshani Patel (4', 8', 23') and Trisha Guntuk (14', 15', 57') , with three goals each, were the star performers. A brace of goals by Riya Gupta (11', 55') and a goal by Wilona Rodrigues (58') completed the tally.

Later in Group A, Satara got the better of Aurangabad 2-1. Shruti Bhosale (11'- p.c) and Anuradha Thombre (34' - p.c) struck for Satara, while Aurangabad pulled one back via Vaishnavi Pandhare (36' - p.c).

In the other Group-A encounter, Kolhapur got the better of Nagpur after playing out a 4-4 draw. Kolhapur recorded their first draw. In regulation time, Kolhapur had Sanika Chirmure (24’, 54’, 37’) star with three goals, while Bhakti Gaddi (25’) scored one. Nagpur replied via two-goal hero Yashasvi Kubde (35’ 44’) and a goal each by Purva Dhandare (16’) and Jyutika Bodkhe (29’).
