India vs West Indies 2026 ODI Series: India and West Indies are set for white-ball battle as the two teams prepare to face each other in a three-match ODI and five-match T20I series, beginning September 27, 2026. The India-West Indies ODI rivalry has a rich history. The two teams first met in the 1979 ODI World Cup and have since played 142 ODIs against each other. India have won 72 of those matches, while West Indies have recorded 64 victories. Two games ended in a tie, while four matches produced no result.
The rivalry also holds a special place in Indian cricket history. It was against the West Indies that India lifted their maiden World Cup trophy in 1983, defeating the defending champions in the final at Lord's.
The ODI leg will be followed by a five-match T20I series, beginning in Lucknow on October 6. The second T20I will be played in Ranchi on October 9, before the teams move to Indore for the third match on October 11. Hyderabad will host the fourth T20I on October 14, while Bengaluru will stage the series finale on October 17.
West Indies will be led by Shai Hope in both formats.
