Celta impressed last season, finishing sixth in La Liga to qualify once again for the Europa League. The club has added three players to its squad so far this summer, with midfielder Aleix Febas from Elche, left-back Javi Galan from Osasuna and young centre-back Abdoulaye Faye joining on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, Oscar Mingueza has moved to the Premier League, Hugo Sotelo has joined Levante and centre-back Unai Nunez appears set to sign for Espanyol on loan.

Speaking to the media, Giraldez admitted that he expected more business to be completed in the coming days.

"There is still a lot of transfer window ahead of us," he said. "The squad has been very well-prepared, but we know that it isn't closed and there will be more movement."

"We have players who haven't been able to play in pre-season, and we are a long way from considering our work to be done, although I am certain we will have a team that is complete in all parts of the pitch," he concluded.

Earlier, Celta Vigo transferred midfielder Carlos Dotor to newly promoted Malaga, who continued preparations for their return to La Liga for a second consecutive season, the club announced.

Dotor returns to Malaga after helping the southern Spanish club end their top-flight exile by winning promotion from the second division last season.
