Colombo, Aug 5 - After being forced to follow-on by India, opener Dimuth Karunaratne (55 batting) and one-down batsman Kusal Mendis (61 batting) helped Sri Lanka to a steady start in their second innings, posting 118/1 at tea on the third day of the second Test here on Saturday.

Pacer Umesh Yadav (1/17) was the lone wicket-taker in this session, dismissing opener Upul Tharanga (2) shortly after lunch. Karunaratne and Mendis had posted a 111-run stand when the umpires called for tea.
