6th August (CRICKETNMORE) - A 161 run opening partnership between Martin Guptill (87) and Tom Latham (136) set the platform for New Zealand team on day one of the second Test at Bulawayo. New Zealand were 329 for two at stumps after winning the toss and choosing to bat.

Latham amsahed his 2nd consecutive and overall 5th Test century, and he was ably supported by his captain in the afternoon as Kane Williamson took his career average to over 50, ending the day unbeaten on 95.
