New Delhi, Oct 29 (IANS) Indian cricket team hopefuls, who are playing in the ongoing Duleep Trophy final here, saw reasons for extra motivation when two national selectors -- Saba Karim and Vikram Rathour -- arrived at the Ferozeshah Kotla to monitor the performance of the players Wednesday.

The South vs Central Zone summit clash being the last chance for fringe players to stake their claim in the national side ahead of India’s tour of Australia, selectors Karim (East) and Rathour (North) kept a watchful eye on the first day's play of the five-day match.

South Zone's India discards Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Vinay Kumar and Pragyan Ojha are some of the players who will be on the radar while Central wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha and out-of-favour bowlers Piyush Chawla, Ishwar Pandey and Pankaj Singh would also like to impress the Indian cricket board's (BCCI) All India Senior Selection Committee with good performances.
