Dhaka, Sep 13 - Bangladesh A cricket team coach Heath Streak believes Mominul Haque is a potential leader.

The Zimbabwean on Sunday said Mominul, who has been made Bangladesh A captain for their forthcoming India tour, has a great temperament.

"Definitely, he (Mominul) would be a future leader. For him, this (captaincy) is a good reward. Hopefully, this will be (his) launch as a leader," Streak was quoted as saying by a news website.

The 23-year-old top-order batsman is called 'Mini' by others, said Streak.

The national team's bowling coach explained: "Mini has a very good cricketing head. He has a very good temperament. He has shown it in the Test arena. His hunger for knowledge in cricket is good."

Bangladesh A will fly to India on Monday for a two-week tour to play three one-day matches and two three-day games.
