Defending champions Mumbai will be eager to get their first win in the IPL after terrible start. However, it will not be an easy task for them as they will be up against the formidable Chennai side, which are in the form and had two win.

This will be a landmark match for the captains of both sides - MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma - who will be playing their 100th Indian T20 League game. This will also be Dhoni's 100th match as captain, which will make him the first to have led a side in 100 games in the T20 league.
Chennai started their journey with a six-wicket loss from Punjab. But they came back into familiar fashion with back-to-back victory over Delhi and Rajasthan. And going by form, Chennai will start as overwhelming favourites against the struggling Mumbai side.
The Mumbai outfits have a lot of work to do with their batting. Performance of the batters is really poor. They could only manage to make 122 and 115 in their last two games. Ambati Rayudu got a good starts in both the matches but failed to convert them into big scores, while senior players like Michael Hussey and skipper Rohit could not do well. Even the all-rounders, Kieron Pollard and Corey Anderson have not done much with the bat. Mumbai will be hoping that they can come up with an improved performance.
