Dec.5 (CRICKETNMORE) - Afghanistan thrashed Ireland by 138 runs in the first of three One-Day Internationals at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday night. 

Put into bat first, Afghanistan post 238 for 9 in its 50 overs and later on bowled Ireland team 100 in 31.4 overs to go 1-0 up in the three-match series. For Afghanista, 16-year-old debutant off-spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Zadran, was the chief architect of the victory. He took 4 for 24 in his 10 overs.
