भारतीय पुरुष टी-20 टीम के कप्तान सूर्यकुमार यादव ने 5 अक्टूबर को दुबई में भारत और पाकिस्तान की महिला टीमों के बीच होने वाले वर्ल्ड कप मैच से पहले बड़ा बयान दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच अब वो पुरानी प्रतिद्वंद्विता नहीं रही, खासकर जब एक टीम बार-बार जीतती रही हो तो दोनों टीमों के बीच किसी भी तरह की राइवलरी नहीं रह जाती।
जियोस्टार को दिए एक इंटरव्यू में सूर्यकुमार ने कहा कि पिछले कुछ वर्षों में भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम ने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया है। उन्होंने कहा, “महिला टीम एक अलग स्तर पर क्रिकेट खेल रही है। अगर वो पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ फोकस्ड रहकर खेलें, तो मैं पूरी तरह से भरोसा रखता हूं कि वो मिशन 12-0 पूरा कर सकती हैं।”
