अपने शानदार परफॉर्मेंस से खुश हैं शुभा सतीश
Navi Mumbai: गुरुवार की सुबह ही कर्नाटक की 24 वर्षीय बाएं हाथ की बल्लेबाज शुभा सतीश को सूचित किया गया कि वह इंग्लैंड महिला टीम के खिलाफ एकमात्र चार दिवसीय टेस्ट मैच में पदार्पण करेंगी।
इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए भारत को शुरुआती झटके लगे। फिर, स्मृति मंधाना के जल्दी आउट होने के बाद नंबर 3 पर बल्लेबाज करने शुभा को देखकर हर कोई हैरान था। इस युवा बल्लेबाज ने 76 गेंदों में 69 रन बनाकर भारत के लिए शीर्ष स्कोर बनाया, साथी डेब्यूटेंट जेमिमा रोड्रिग्स (68) के साथ तीसरे विकेट के लिए 115 रन जोड़कर टीम को 47/2 पर मुश्किल स्थिति से बाहर निकाला।
शुभा और जेमिमा के बीच साझेदारी ने नींव रखी, जिस पर यास्तिका भाटिया (66), हरमनप्रीत कौर (49), दीप्ति शर्मा (नाबाद 60) और स्नेह राणा (30) ने पूंजी लगाई और भारत को स्टंप्स तक 410/7 की मजबूत स्थिति में पहुंचाने में मदद की।
