T20 World Cup 2024 Records: Records Shattered in Low-scoring India vs Pakistan thriller in New York
India vs Pakistan, Match 19, ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Records: The biggest match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 group stage took place on Sunday at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, between the India Cricket Team and the Pakistan Cricket Team. This saw a fully packed stadium in New York, with over 33000 spectators watching the low-scoring match at the stadium. Pakistan, which controlled 80 percent of the game, flattened when the pressure came on. The Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly in the end; in the match, which was in Pakistan's pocket at one stage, the bowlers pulled back. India lost the toss and were asked to bat.
The batting unit failed miserably, and only three batters crossed the 10-run mark. Rishabh Pant was the top scorer with 42 runs off 31 balls, while Axar Patel made an 18-ball 20. India couldn't bat the complete quota of 20 overs and were bowled out for 119. Chasing the score, Pakistan were 80/3 in 14 overs and needed 40 runs in the last six overs with seven wickets in hand. But India pulled things back, Pakistan fell short of the target by six runs, and India registered a historic win. Some T20I records were broken in the IND vs PAK clash, while some T20 milestones were achieved in this game.
