भारत के खिलाफ पहले टेस्ट मैच की पहली पारी में अर्द्धशतक लगाने वाले इंग्लिश कप्तान बेन स्टोक्स दूसरी पारी में बिल्कुल फ्लॉप साबित हुए और रविचंद्रन अश्विन की एक शानदार गेंद पर क्लीन बोल्ड हो गए। अश्विन के खिलाफ स्टोक्स का रिकॉर्ड काफी खराब रहा है और ये सिलसिला हैदराबाद टेस्ट की दूसरी पारी में भी जारी रहा।
अश्विन इंग्लिश पारी का 37वां ओवर कर रहे थे और इस ओवर की पांचवीं गेंद उन्होंंने बिल्कुल स्टंप लाइन पर डाली। स्टोक्स ने इस गेंद को खेलने के लिए पैर भी निकाला लेकिन गेंद आखिरी समय पर घूम गई और उनकी ऑफ स्टंप पर जा लगी। अश्विन की इस गेंद पर आउट होने के बाद स्टोक्स का रिएक्शन देखने लायक था। वहीं, अश्विन का जश्न भी काफी रोमांचित करने वाला था।
