    ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships: India's Vishvanath Suresh caused a major sensation at the Asian Boxing Championships 2026, defeating reigning World Champion and World No. 1 Sanzhar Tashkenbay of Kazakhstan 5:0 to enter the semifinals of the mega event in Mongolia.

    In other bouts, Ankushita Boro (65 kg) won 4–1 against Laura Yessenkeldi (KAZ) in the quarterfinals.

    The spotlight was on Vishvanath Suresh, who produced a memorable performance and signalled the advent of a new star on the Indian boxing firmament.
