'Don’t Want To Think About This Match Ever Again’: Rohan Kapoor After Loss In XD Opener At BWF Worlds
Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium: Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde’s BWF World Championships 2026 campaign ended in disappointment on Tuesday as the Indian mixed doubles pair surrendered a one-game lead to lose 22-20, 19-21, 17-21 to Canada’s Jonathan Lai and Crystal Lai at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Tuesday.
The Indians, who had previously beaten the Canadian pair in straight games, were in control early on but lost their grip in the second game and could not recover as the contest stretched to one hour and eight minutes.
Having been unable to close out the match after taking the opening game, Kapoor said the priority now was to draw a line under the defeat rather than dwell on what went wrong.
