Nacho and Alex Fernandez
The two brothers grew up in the Real Madrid academy, and were part of one of the most successful generations of La Fabrica of recent times. Nacho, a versatile defender, came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid and made his debut for the first team in April 2011, playing more than 300 official matches since then and becoming club captain. He has also been an important part of the club’s title wins: 3 LALIGA EA SPORTS titles, 5 Champions Leagues, 2 Copa del Rey, 5 Club World Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups and 3 Spanish Super Cups. His brother Alex, two years younger and a talented creative midfielder, has moved around a lot more, playing for HNK Rijeka, RCD Espanyol, Reading and Elche CF, before finding stability at Cadiz CF in 2017. He has been key in the club’s rise to and success in the top flight over the past few seasons. The two brothers have faced off in five Real Madrid vs Cadiz CF games, with Nacho winning two, Alex winning one and two draws.
