After the all-round show by batters and bowlers, the Indian cricket team gets a dominant win over the Netherlands by 56 runs in the 23rd match of the T-20 World Cup here in Sydney.

IND vs NED: After the all-round show by batters and bowlers, the Indian cricket team gets a dominant win over the Netherlands by 56 runs in the 23rd match of the T-20 World Cup here at Sydney Cricket Ground.

India came to defend a total of 179 runs and due to their cataclysmic bowling, the Men in blues swept the Dutch side to 123/9 and got their second win in two matches so far.

Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar grabbed 2/9 with 2 maiden overs out of 3. The spin duo of Ashwin and Akshar Patel (2/18) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/21) and Arshdeep Singh (2/37) were the main base of the Indian bowling line-up.

Apart from them, pacer Mohammad Shami contributed to the team's winning cause as he scalped one wicket by bowling at an economy of 6.80.

Indian bowling was looking in good form as Axar, Bhuvi and Ashwin bowled at under 6 economy. 

For the Netherlands, Tim Pringle top-scored with his 20 runs knocks in 15 balls with one six and one four. Max ODowd, bad De Leede, and Shariz Ahmed scored 16 runs each. Whereas, colin Ackermann got 17 runs with his bat.

None of the Dutch batters was able to play a big inning which resulted in their loss.  

Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to bat first against the Netherlands in the Super 12 match of the T20 World Cup 2022.

Indian top order shone as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar smacked the fifties to power India to 179/2 against the Netherlands in the Super 12 match. 

After KL Rahul (9) was dismissed early in the 3rd over, Rohit and Virat got along as these two etched a partnership of 73 runs off 56 balls for the 2nd wicket. Rohit contributed with 53 runs off 39 balls with 4 fours & 3 sixes, before getting dismissed in the 12th over.

Virat Kohli then etched an unbeaten partnership of 95 runs off 48 balls with Suryakumar Yadav for the 3rd wicket. Virat Kohli finished with a score of 62* runs in 44 balls with 3 fours & 2 sixes, while Suryakumar Yadav blazed an unbeaten 51 runs off 25 balls with 7 fours & a six.

For the Netherlands, Fred Klaassen and Paul van Meekeren managed 1 wicket each.
