New Zealand's Matt Henry and Ajaz Patel put on an unbeaten 88 for the last wicket to frustrate Pakistan Tuesday as the visitors reached 433-9 at lunch on the second day of the final Test in Karachi.
Resuming on 309-6, New Zealand added 124 runs in an extended session by lunch, with Henry on 56 -- his third half-century -- and Patel a Test-best 31.
The two-match series is tied after the first Test, also in Karachi, ended in a draw.
