Latest IPL 2022 Points Table, Orange Cap & Purple Cap Holder After DC vs SRH Match 50

Delhi Capitals move into the top five of the IPL Points Table.

On a high-scoring Thursday, Delhi Capitals managed to defend the 208-run target by 21 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The win was set up by David Warner's unbeaten 92 and Rovman Powell's 67 not out. The duo had smashed 122 runs in 66 balls during their fourth-wicket partnership and took DC to 207/3. In reply, SRH could only make 186 and lost eight wickets. Nicholas Pooran's explosive 62 couldn't finish the chase.

With this win, Delhi Capitals to the fifth spot in the points table with 10 points, which they share with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings, who are 6th and 7th in the table. Gujarat Titans are at the top with 16 points, followed by Lucknow Super Giants at second with 14. Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are 3rd and 4th with six wins each. 

The bottom table comprises Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians. While KKR has won four, CSK has won three, and MI has managed to win one game so far. 

Latest Orange Cap Holder 

There's not much change in the top of the orange cap race. Jos Buttler continues to lead with 588 runs, followed by KL Rahul, who has scored 451, and Shikhar Dhawan at third with 369 runs. 

Latest Purple Cap Holder 

Kuldeep Yadav is closing in on Yuzvendra Chahal's tally of 19 wickets with 18 scalps of his own. The duo is followed by Kagiso Rabada at the third spot with 17 wickets.
