T20 World Cup 2022: In a last-over thriller, India clinched a last-over thriller against Australia by 6 runs in the warm-up match. While KL Rahul and Suryakumar starred with the bat, Virat Kohli showed an impressive fielding effort to take India to a thrilling win. 

Chasing 187 to win, Australia were off to a great start as Australia captain Aaron Finch gained form, smacking 76 runs off 54 balls with 7 forus & 3 sixes. Mitchell Marsh, opening the innings, scored 35 runs off 18 balls with 4 fours & 2 sixes. 

However, the Australian batting started faltering after it. Number 3 & number 4 batters Steven Smith scored 11 runs and Glenn Maxwell scored 23 runs. After that, none of the batters were able to cross the double-digit mark as Australia were bundled to 180/10 in 20 overs. 

In the 19th over, Virat Kohli inflicted an amazing run out to dismiss explosive batter, Tim David. In the 20th over, Virat grabbed an amazing one-handed catch on the boundary to dismiss Pat Cummins. Australia lost 6 wickets in the last 2 overs to concede a 6-run defeat in the Warm-up match. 
 
For India, Mohammad Shami grabbed 3 wickets in the only over bowled while Bhuvneshwar Kumar grabbed 2 wickets. Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal managed 1 wicket each.

In the first innings, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul's fifty take India to a good total of 186/7 in a warm-up match against the home team Australia here in Brisbane.

Aussie skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and called the Indian side to bat first. Rohit Sharma-led side gave a momentous start where KL Rahul was looking in good form after which he scored a 33-ball fifty. 

The batter smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes and got 57 runs and a quickfire 74-run opening stand with Rohit Sharma.

Later in the inning, 360-degree player Suryakumar Yadav snatched 50 runs in 33 balls which put India in a good position against the homies in an important warm-up match.

For Australia, Kane Richardson impressed with the four-wicket haul. Apart from Kane, Starc, Maxwell, and Agar got one wicket each.

Earlier, Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss & opted to field first against India in the T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match. This match was played at The Gabba, Brisbane.
