Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy: Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy, S.G.P.C. Hockey Academy, Ashwini Sports Academy, HAR Hockey Academy, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Centre, and Ghumanhera Riserβs Academy scored dominant victories on Day 7 of the 2nd Hockey India Junior Men & Women Academy Championship 2024.
Meanwhile, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre won their womenβs encounter as well.
In the first womenβs clash of the day, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Centre defeated Jai Bharat Hockey Academy 15-0. Chetna Rani Das (14β, 15β, 21β, 39β. 43β, 52β, 53β) was the top scorer with seven goals, while Yadav Sheetal (19β, 48β, 49β) scored a hat-trick and Bahala Surekha (3β, 47β), a brace. Prabhjot Kaur (8β), Anandita Toppo (24β) and Anjana Barla (35β) also found the back of the net.
The final womenβs match of the day saw Ghumanhera Riserβs Academy locked in a 4-4 draw against Raja Kiran Hockey Academy. Shashi Kumari (7β), Durga (13β), Diya (21β) and Priya (59β) scored for Ghumanhera Riserβs Academy and Jasmeen Kaur (22β, 54β, 56β) and Rakhi (5β) scored for Raja Kiran Hockey Academy.
In the first menβs match of the day, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy defeated Jai Bharat Academy 22-0.
Arjandeep Singh (12β, 18β, 42β, 52β) and Inderjit Singh (12β, 24β, 49β, 51β) were the top scorers with four goals each. Anurag Singh (33β, 34β, 60β) scored a hat-trick while Jarman Singh (5β, 20β), Sunny (22β, 35β), Gursewak Singh (8β), Japrit Singh (21β), Rajveer Gill (26β) Varinder Singh (27β), Amandeep (41β), Sumit Rajbhar (44β) and Jaswinder Singh (55β) contributed as well.
In the second menβs encounter, S.G.P.C Hockey Academy downed SAIL Hockey Academy 1-0. Sukhdev Singh (60β) scored a late winner to secure the victory for S.G.P.C Hockey Academy.
In another menβs fixture, Ashwini Sports Academy defeated Raja Kiran Academy 6-4. Mohammed Imran Khan (3β, 29β, 49β) led the attack for Ashwini Sports Academy while Ayush Mishra (35β, 39β) and Ali Abbas (55β) also scored. Sunny (42β, 44β), Harshdeep (13β), and Himanshu (29β) scored for Raja Kiran Academy.
HAR Hockey Academy triumphed against Salute Hockey Academy, 14-1. Sachin (3β, 15β, 23β, 30β, 45β, 58β, 59β) was the standout performer of the match with seven goals, along with Himanshu (7β, 24β, 39β, 50β, 50β) who scored on five occasions. Meanwhile, Rahul (26β) and Monu (54β) also etched their names on the scoresheet. Yogesh (8β) was the only scorer for Salute Hockey Academy.
In another comprehensive victory, the menβs match resulted in an 11-0 win for Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Centre over Republican Sports Club. Ajay Xalxo (11β, 42β, 56β) and Yojin Minz (14β, 36β, 52β) scored hat-tricks for Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre. Captain Pratap Topoo (7β), Bilkan Oram (19β), Harish Singh Leitanthem (20β), Arbin Toppo (22β), and Anil Kumar (59β) also scored a goal each.
