Asian U20 Athletics Championships: India’s talented high jumper Pooja continued to stamp her authority in women’s high jump event at the Trivandrum leg of the Indian Athletics Series on Sunday.

Pooja, 19, was a comfortable winner with a height of 1.81m. She had recently set a national record of 1.93m at the Asian U20 Athletics Championships held in Hong Kong.

The senior men’s long jump however, was more exciting as David P of NCOE Bengaluru surged ahead of Shahnavaz Khan from Uttar Pradesh. David’s winning jump was 8.22m while Shahnavaz's best jump on Sunday was 8.17m.

Jithin Arjunan representing JSW was third with a distance of 8.12m.

In the women’s 400m, Rashdeep Kaur of JSW clocked 53.32 seconds to win first place in the women’s 400m race.
