"We're still mates, it is amicable," Friend was quoted as saying in the Australian media. She also added that their main focus is on their two children.

MacGill met Friend in 1999 when the one-time Neighbours star-turned-journalist was doing a story on the cricketer for A Current Affair. They later got married and have two kids, Penny and Alex.

Friend was impressed with MacGill, the director of communications agency Media Friendly, and thought he wasn't a stereotypical cricketer.

MacGill, who is now a sports commentator, was recently photographed in a romantic tryst with a mystery brunette. They were spotted kissing publicly in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last week, before dining at Double Bay restaurant Mrs Sippy. After the meal, they were seen checking into the Sheraton on the Park hotel.
