1st Test: England finish day one on 285/9

Aug.1 (CRICKETNMORE) - England finished at 285/1 on the opening day of the first test against India at Edgbaston in Birmingham. 

Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat, England were 216/3 but Indian bowlers did a fantastic job to put the hosts on the backfoot.
